Former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion Batista will finally be stepping inside the octagon, making his debut with the CES MMA promotion, with a fight scheduled for October 6th, 2012 at the Dunkin Donuts Theater in Providence, Rhode Island, this according to a report from entertainment website TMZ.com.
Batista who is 290lbs and would have to cut to 265lbs for his heavyweight fight, will be facing off against Rashid Evans, not to be confused with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans. It is expected that Batista’s trainers for the fight will be Cesar Gracie, as the former WWE superstar currently trains at and helps to operate a Gracie Fighter Jiu-Jitsu gym in Tampa, Florida.
