In a new interview with The Miami Herald, new WWE SmackDown superstar Antonio Cesaro (previously known as Claudio Castagnoli on the independent scene) discussed how beneficial Florida Championship Wrestling was for him in his early WWE career, seeing other former ROH stars in CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in the main event, the prospect of linking up again with Kassius Ohno (formerly known as Chris Hero on the independent scene) and much more.

On how beneficial Florida Championship Wrestling was for him, Cesaro noted that it definitely helped him and experience is invaluable, noting that he’s really happy to have the wrestling experience and to be in the WWE, noting that everywhere you go, you learn something and you never stop learning. Cesaro went on to say that if you stop learning and thing that you know it all, then you may be in the wrong profession, however if you love what you do, then you never stop learning.

On the signings of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan and how the company are looking at top independent wrestling talent to add to their developmental territory, including himself, Cesaro noted that he thinks that they are always signing good quality wrestlers and that in wrestling, everything comes and goes in waves, stating that if you look at some of those who are on top with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, that they have also been in the same kind of wave and there is a perception to that. He thinks the company’s viewpoint on the independent scene is good and that there is a lot of good talent down there right now, which means that they will be appearing on WWE television soon and it’s great.

On his rivalry with Chris Hero (Kassius Ohno), teaming with him and the possibility of seeing the two align down the road on WWE television, Cesarno stated that it has always been a great rivalry between them and the fans always want to see stuff that they like, before noting that as popular as they were as a tag team, they are both going to see how they do individually and go from there.
