At a press conference held earlier today in Tokyo, Japan both New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling announced that as an occasion to mark the 40th anniversary of both promotions, that they will be holding a joint supershow event on July 1st.

As of writing there are no details on the card, however it is expected to feature a minimum of 8 matches, which is usually the case for big events such as this. AJPW announced at the press conference that they are looking to have Jun Akiyama on board for the event.

The name for the show will be “WE ARE PRO WRESTLING LOVE” under the banner of both promotions.
