In a strange piece of news, 5-time TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love announced on her Twitter account last night that herself and TNA Wrestling had parted ways after she was granted her release from the company.
“To all my wonderful fans, just want to let you know I have been granted my release from TNA. It was completely amicable parting of ways and I want to thank TNA and all of its employees for the wonderful journey I’ve had there over the years. Now I’m on to the next amazing chapter of my life! If you are looking to book me please contact John at john@spectacularsignings.com Thank you so much!”
Love had been a big part of the Knockouts Division in TNA Wrestling as seen with her 5 reigns as the TNA Knockouts Champion. What will be her next career path remains to be seen. She was under a developmental deal with the WWE from 2004 until 2007 before leaving and then heading to TNA Wrestling, however WWE have a huge interest in signing her based on her work with Velvet Sky as part of The Beautiful People, as well as the likes of Maryse and Maxine departing the company and Kelly Kelly on temporary hiatus, meaning she would help to add some star power to the company’s Divas division.
Those that I’ve spoken to late last night believe that the only thing that could hamper Angelina potentially joining the WWE straight away is the lawsuit that TNA Wrestling has against the WWE, with a potential feeling that if she ends up with the WWE, that the comapny may have held negotiations with her prior to her release been granted.
