The Money In The Bank pay-per-view in Philadelphia will be a sort of homecoming for WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose this Sunday.  Ambrose will be returning to the city where he punished his body for the CZW promotion prior to joining WWE.  Ambrose commented the tough style in the CZW promotion during an interview with Philly.com promoting the PPV.

“I was in a lot of really crazy matches and a lot of stuff that you’ll never ever see on WWE television, I put my body through a lot of abuse for very little money for a long time.”

Ambrose claims to be “ten times better of a wrestler” now compared to when he first started in WWE, though he says he was “not intimidated when he got to WWE.”

“I kind of felt like that I had put myself through so much to get here that there isn’t anybody that’s going to take this away from me, I knew what I was capable of. I had the confidence in myself to just know that I’m going to be the guy here and that I am good as anybody else here.”

Ambrose said his biggest adjustment when he debuted on WWE TV as part of The Shield was learning how to “work for cameras as opposed to just working for an audience.” He sited Arn Anderson, William Regal, and Jamie Noble having helped his development as the unofficial leader of The Shield. Regarding The Shield as a unit, Ambrose said that he believes he, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns “fit together like a good puzzle,” and it helps that they “travel, train, and study together”.

“We all have the attitude that we want to take this place over and we want to out-work everybody and make everybody raise their game to our level of intensity. If they can’t keep up then they can’t keep up.”
