In an update on the injury status of former WWE Champion Alberto del Rio, “The Mexican Aristocrat” was pulled from last night’s WWE SmackDown house show event in Salisbury, Maryland where he was scheduled to face off against Sheamus, who instead defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Kane, who competed twice on the night.

The word making the rounds this weekend was that Del Rio had suffered a concussion at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings. The expectation is that if he is removed from appearing at WWE No Way Out, that the company will make an announcement during tomorrow’s RAW, where it is expected that Dolph Ziggler will replace him in the main event.
