In an update on Alberto del Rio returning to the WWE and defeating John Cena for the WWE United States Championship, both sides have been in communication for the past several weeks and while Del Rio held discussions with TNA Wrestling, as well as Lucha Underground, he made the decision to return to the WWE.

Del Rio is still the AAA Mega Champion (AAA World Heavyweight Champion) and is expected to finish out his remaining bookings with the promotion before re-joining the WWE on a full-time basis.
