Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles, was seemingly injured at last night’s TNA Impact Wrestling live event in Battle Creek, Michigan after he landed hard on the floor following a botched apron spot during his match against Gunner.
AJ was down on the mat for over a minute as the referee and nearby staff checked on him, whilst Gunner pandered to the crowd on the other side of the arena. AJ finally managed to get to his feet and ended the match quickly with a Pele kick. Following the conclusion of the match AJ was helped to the back by security members and TNA Wrestling officials and was limping and holding his neck and back. AJ commented on the matter earlier today via his Twitter account, noting that he rolled out of bed to check how his ankle was after last night’s event, and the result wasn’t a good one.
As of writing, there has been no announcement from the company regarding AJ’s injury and whether he will miss any in-ring time.
