– The annual APWA King of Africa tournament is just around the corner and will span from March to May in three shows held exclusively at President Square, Krugersdorp. The elimination-style tournament will feature 8 of Africa’s top pro wrestling combatants in what is expected to be another unforgettable series of dream matches. Last year’s winner was “The French Monster” Terri Middoux, who pulled off a very controversial win over the Nigerian powerhouse Joe “Bull” Dozer on 21 May, 2011. The 8 elite competitors have yet to be selected, but Terri Middoux will certainly be defending his crown this year. APWA officials will be watching everyone closely at the 3rd Anniversary weekend.

King of Africa dates:
17 March – Round 1 (Quarter Finals)
14 April – Round 2 (Semi Finals)
19 May – Round 3 (Grand Final)
– Vic Scar, the number one contender to the APWA Heavyweight Title, is challenging the champion and “Masked Crusader” El Mascarado Mexicano to a hair-versus-mask match. This particular stipulation has never been done before in the African Punishment Wrestling Assocation. The mask worn by Mascarado is the very essence of his being and means more than anything else. If APWA officials sign it and Mascarado is up for the challenge, he will not only be putting his mask on the line, but the championship as well! Vic Scar might have less to lose in such a match, but he greatly values his hair. Interestingly, back in 2009, Scar participated in a three-way hair-vs-hair match at a Westgate show and ended up getting his mohawk totally shaved off, after which time he didn’t wrestle for several months. At the 4th Anniversary weekend, the stakes will be higher than ever in this APWA Heavyweight Title match-up!
– “The Club Sensation” Zizou Middoux retained the Power Trip Wrestling World Heavyweight Title against Jonny Storm at PTW’s “We Run This Town” event on 10 February and could be bringing the title back to South Africa once again. This Sunday on 19 February, he will be invading Great British Wrestling with PT Playa, taking on Ste Bin Mann at Death or Glory. Zizou had this message for Bin Mann: ” ‘Bin mann’.. Hope you ready to eat your own garbage! You certainly smell like it, you also look like it, you can’t get worse happen to you.. Oh wait you can me shuffling all over you!! Now that’s party hardy!!! Get ready GBW!!”
