WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole, whose contract status has been the subject of several reports as of late, has between 18 – 20 months remaining on his current contract with the company, with Cole locked into a re-worked contract, much like everyone else on the WWE NXT roster when the brand landed a television deal on the USA Network.

There were unconfirmed reports this week that Cole, who retained the WWE NXT Championship during a match against The Velveteen Dream at last night’s WWE NXT Takeover: In Your House event, was out of contract in August, around the same time as WWE SummerSlam weekend.
