In an interview with ESPN, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal responded to accusations that he is in violation of the WWE Wellness Policy in regards to his change in physique stating, “I’ve been tested plenty and have never failed one.”

Mahal said that when he trains hard, he looks better and that when he sees the way he looks on television or in the mirror, it gives him confidence and translates in the ring and that he is now more confident and aggressive and said that if people saw him from a few years ago, the confidence level would be night and day and that’s because of the way he looks.

Mahal said that Vince McMahon appreciates wrestlers taking the initiative and putting in the hard work and said that Vince had confidence in him and knew that he would embrace the opportunity and not let WWE down and he believes that he has been proving that in his matches ever since he got the opportunity.
