Following Nikki Bella’s victory over Beth Phoenix (who ended up injured during the match), to become the new WWE Divas Champion, there are plans in place for her to drop the title to a returning Kharma, this according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The report notes that the original idea drawn up was for Beth Phoenix to drop the WWE Divas Championship, so Kharma can become the WWE Divas Champion without having to face Beth Phoenix too early. Nikki Bella was then pencilled in over the weekend to win the WWE Divas Championship at WWE Extreme Rules and then be on the end of an attack from the returning Kharma the next night on RAW, bringing Kharma back into the mix as a dominant force.

While I noted last night that Nikki’s WWE Divas Championship victory surprised many within the company, in regards to her and Brie Bella’s contracts expiring on April 30th, nothing new has been said about them leaving the company in under a week and the expectation is that they could come to terms on a new contract over the coming days.
