In an update on the Twitter drama that has been escalating between Mick Foley and Florida Championship Wrestling superstar Dean Ambrose since prior to the WWE WrestleMania XXVIII event, Foley issued the following statement on his Twitter account, “I had a slight problem at Smackdown, so I took care of it. I didn’t ask WWE to send him home, but I’m glad they did. Sayanora scumbag.”
In response to the matter, Ambrose tweeted the following enclosing photos of his flight tickets, “Looks like they must have been in a hurry to get me outta Virginia tonight. Fuming in atl airport over a jack n coke. Hey #wwe was it something i said?”
There was talk last night and over the weekend that Terry Taylor would be joining the company as a member of the WWE developmental process today, which may have prompted the company’s decision on having Ambrose return to Florida, so that the two could get acquainted with one another, as Taylor is expected to be the top-tier man in the developmental process along with Canyon Cemen and Triple H. Whether this process ends up being Taylor’s involvement in Florida Championship Wrestling or a new developmental territory that has been strongly hinted at opening in Stamford, Connecticut remains to be seen.
It should also be interesting to note that WWE Creative Team Member Ed Koskey is heavily involved in the storyline, including the online aspect and how it’s being played out. Many people felt that with Foley advertised for last night’s SmackDown and Ambrose being on the tip of being called up to the main roster, that he would show up last night, however the idea of it all is to introduce Ambrose slowly to the WWE fans via an online platform first, before debuting him on television.
