Speaking through his official Twitter account, former Ring of Honor World Champion Michael Elgin told the company that he is quitting and said that any plans for him to return to the company this weekend was news to him, before stating, ” I said this on our call, thank you for getting me back home, but an article doesn’t fix lies and damage done. I QUIT.”

Elgin responded to a fan stating that Elgin pulled a “b**** move” by quitting the company, to which Elgin stated that he tried to do it properly, but the company promoting him for a show he won’t be at is not his “b**** move”.

It should be noted that the company has a history of running strange angles surrounding roster drama in recent years, so it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
