New Japan Pro Wrestling announced at a press conference that they have signed Kenny Omega to an exclusive contract as a New Japan Pro Wrestling star.

Omega was a top member of the Dramatic Dream Team roster in Japan for the past 6 years and made appearances as part of NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors Tournament over the last sevral years. There are reports that there was an intention on Omega’s part to stay with DDT until the end of 2014, but that DDT’s President Sanshiro Takagi noted that Omega’s last match for the promotion will be on October 26th at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Omega will be teaming with Kota Ibushi, who signed a one-year contract extension to continue working DDT/NJPW events against the team of Danshoku Dino & Konosuke Takeshita.
