Former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to appear in a feature film adaptation of popular 1990’s TV series Baywatch, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter who note that Paramount is moving forward with their plans and that The Rock is attached as the lead in the film.

Paramount are also reported to have hired Justin Malen to rewrite the script and have attached the comedy writing team of Sean Anders and John Morris of We’re The Millers to direct the movie.
