The following results are from a recent edition of WWE RAW. The event took place on September 29th, 2014 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and aired at 8pm Eastern live on the USA Network.
In Ring Segment
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came to the ring to a “CM Punk” chant, which resulted in Stephanie questioning why the crowd always chants for quitters and it is because they’re quitters themselves and rather than fighting for what they believe in, they quit and when things get hard at work, they just quit their jobs, they have an arguement with their husband or wife and they quit on their families, they take the easy qay out, they either quit or steal, just like Dean Ambrose when he stole Seth Rollins’ Money in the Bank briefcase. Stephanie said that was unnecessary because the contract is still intact and belongs to Seth Rollins and Ambrose just wants to send a message to The Authority, but they’re here to send a message to Ambrose, because it will not be tolerated. Triple H said that the briefcase is a symbol that represents the WWE and they will not let anybody and they mean anybody disrespect the business. Paul Heyman interrupted and put over himself as the advocate of Brock Lesnar and said that it is ironic that HHH used the word disrespected as that is how Lesnar feels, due to the preposterous notion that John Cena was within moments of becoming Champion once again and that he’s disrespected by the fact that Seth Rollins not only got involved in the match, but actually curbstomped Lesnar and attempted to cash-in the Money in the Bank briefcase. Stephanie interrupted Heyman and said that he’s a shrewd businessman and warned him to choose his next words carefully, because if he’s threatening them, however before she could say anymore, Seth Rollins’ music hit and he came to the ring. Rollins said that he wants to get something straight, no one in The Authority told him to run out and cash-in the contract on Lesnar, he did it on his own and that furthermore, no one suggested that he curbstomp Lesnar into the mat and said that he acted alone and is kind of disappointed, because he figured that Heyman would respect his decision at WWE Night of Champions as he’s trying to build a career like Heyman did on opportunity and said Heyman is an opportunist and he figured that Heyman would understand that he was making the most of his opportunity at Night of Champions and thinks that he speaks for everyone here when he says that no one wanted to see John Cena win the World Title once again. Rollins said that he wanted to become Champion by beating the best and the best is his client Brock Lesnar. Rollins said that Lesnar should be flattered and complimented by what happened at Night of Champions and not insulted and that if Brock is offended in any way, from the bottom of his heart, he’s truly sorry and shook hands with Heyman, who said that what Rollins done took a lot of hutzpah, but if it ever happens again, he won’t be dealing with him, but will be dealing with Brock Lesnar. Heyman went to leave, however Triple H stopped him and said that he enjoyed their conversation and shook hands with Heyman and told him to have a nice night. Rollins got back on the mic and said that he appreciates The Authority coming out to chastise Dean Ambrose over what happened and that he knows Ambrose and he’s the furthest thing from normal and won’t respond to this like normal people do and said that Ambrose is probably backstage laughing, but it’s not funny as there are personal items of his in that briefcase that need to be returned to him immediately and if Ambrose doesn’t come to the ring right now, stomping his head through cinder blocks is going to look like nothing when he gets his hands on him. Ambrose appeared on the titantron with the Money in the Bank briefcase in his hand and asked if Rollins was looking for this and said that these days, every time he looks at Rollins, he wants to sew his eyes shut and that Rollins used to be a man, but now he’s letting his corporate Mommy and Daddy fight for him and he has a message for all three of them and that if they want the case back, they just need to come and get it. All 3 make their way up the ring, however John Cena’s music hit and he came out to attack Rollins, who managed to escape through the crowd.
Backstage Segment
Seth Rollins is shown backstage with The Authority. Triple H said that he’s giving Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury the authority to get the case back and wants it back in one piece and doesn’t care how many pieces Ambrose comes back in, as it ends tonight and doesn’t care how. Noble said that he understands and asks Triple H if they can get sledgehammers, however HHH said that Noble and Mercury aren’t thinking like a cohesive unit and just wants them to get the case back.
Triple Threat Match For The WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dolph Ziggler (c) defeated Cesaro and The Miz (w/Damien Sandow).
Backstage Segment
Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury were shown backstage with The Authority noting that they’ve been to catering, the male locker room and even the female locker room and they can’t find Dean Ambrose. Stephanie asked if Noble had mustard on his face, which he did and asked if he stopped for a hamburger or a hot dog and said that they need to find Dean Ambrose or they’re fired. The Miz and Damien Sandow interrupted with Sandow doing the talking, stating that he’s an A-list Hollywood celebrity and demanded action, which only promoted Triple H to laugh. Triple H said that this is the kind of thing he needs and they’re here to make him laugh, however in the meantime, Sandow has a match tonight against Sheamus and if The Miz ever walks into his office barking orders, his little straight-to-DVD career will come to an end.
Singles Match
Layla (w/Summer Rae) defeated Rosa Mendes (w/Natalya & Tyson Kidd).
In Ring Segment
Dean Ambrose came to the ring with a travel bag and the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase. Ambrose grabbed a table from under the ring and set the case on the table inside the ring. Ambrose said that people were looking for him earlier and he was in the concession stands, but they walked right by him and while he was there, he decided that he doesn’t like the way that The Authority runs their merchandise stands and now its time for a Dean Ambrose Clearance Sale where everything must go but the briefcase, because that’s priceless. Ambrose said that during his time with the case, he founds Rollins’ personal effects and that they were close in The Shield, but he never knew this side of him and then asked for someone to make an offer on the merchandise and picked up his own t-shirt, noting that he can’t believe they call him unstable. Joey Mercury & Jamie Noble came to ringside, which prompted Ambrose to quote that The Authority sent the Cruiserweight Division out to get him. Noble & Mercury got up on the ring apron and asked for Ambrose to toss the briefcase to them, however Ambrose sarcastically told them that they’re going to have to stop being so intimidating and that if they want the briefcase, they can come in the ring and get it as he isn’t tossing it. Noble and Mercury backed off as Ambrose then said that he’ll give the merchandise away for free and threw it into the crowd before returning to the ring. Seth Rollins’ music hit and he came to the ring flanked by security guards, Noble and Mercury. Ambrose said that he’s busted, before asking if that is real security with Rollins as he thought they were Rosebuds last week and said that he’s had his fun and is sorry and that Rollins can take back the case as he doesn’t want any problems and left the ring. Rollins got on the ring apron and stared at Ambrose in the crowd, before making his way into the ring. Rollins opened up the briefcase, however the case exploded with green slime as Rollins shook in anger and Ambrose laughed amongst the crowd.
Backstage Segment
Seth Rollins is shown backstage, still covered in the green slime complaining to HHH, Stephanie McMahon, Kane and Randy Orton, with the latter two laughing. Rollins said that his eyes are burning, which led to HHH telling him to go to the trainer’s room. HHH asked where Ambrose is, to which Kane noted that the last he heard was that he was in John Cena’s locker room. HHH announced that Orton & Kane will take on Cena & Ambrose later in the evening. Orton looked angry and said that once again, they have to fight Rollins’ battles. A loud vibration was heard in the room with all of them questioning if it was a phone and realized that it was the briefcase as Rollins ran in and said that it was an electric razor inside the case.
Singles Match
Bo Dallas defeated Mark Henry. Post-match, Dallas was shown backstage being interviewed by Renee Young, however Henry interrupted and attacked Dallas, slamming him into crates and walked off.
2 On 1 Handicap Match
Brie Bella defeated Eva Marie & Cameron. Prior to the match, Nikki Bella came out and said that per The Authority, she was allowed to make it a 2 on 1 Handicap match.
Tag Team Match
Slater Gator (Heath Slater & Titus O’Neil) defeated Los Matadores (Fernando & Diego).
In Ring Segment
Rusev and Lana came to the ring as the Russian flag unfurled above the ring. Lana told the crowd to shut up and said that what they’re about to show speaks for the rapid decline of the American society and said that The Big Show is a sore loser. Show’s music hit and he came out on stage laughing and said that what Lana showed was really good, but she twisted the facts and their propaganda machine runs well and that they talk about how great Russia and Vladimir Putin are, but we all know that’s a bunch of crap and the thing is that Lana can’t handle the truth. Big Show went to talk, however Rusev cut him off and said that he wants to jam his fist down Show’s throat and pull out his guts and that he will break every bone in his body. Show said that Rusev has talked enough and no one understands Russian and said that its time for him to go out there and knock out Rusev. Big Show hit the ring, however Lana and Rusev retreated, which led to Show ripping the Russian flag hanging over the ring.
Singles Match
Alicia Fox (w/Paige) defeated AJ Lee. Post-match, Paige attacked AJ as Alicia went under the ring and grabbed some Mountain Dew and shook them up. AJ attempted to fight off the duo, however Alicia big booted her and Paige hit the Ram-Paige on her.
Singles Match
Sheamus defeated Damien Sandow.
In Ring Segment
Hulk Hogan came to the ring and put over that it is the third year that WWE has teamed up with Susan G. Komen to fight breast cancer and save lives and that he’s turned in the red and yellow as the whole WWE have gone pink to honor National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and urged the fans to go to WWEShop.com, purchase some merchandise and support the cause as the proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen and other community outreach programs.
Tag Team Match
John Cena & Dean Ambrose defeated Randy Orton & Kane via DQ due to interference from Seth Rollins. Post-match, Rollins curbstomped Cena and Ambrose into the Money in the Bank case and stood tall with Kane and Orton to end the show.
