WWE superstar CM Punk took part in the post-WWE RAW on Netflix premiere press conference and discussed several topics, including the possibility of facing The Rock or John Cena, if main eventing WrestleMania is still important to his legacy and more.
Punk said that he would not say no to facing either The Rock or John Cena, as those names come with fat paychecks and said that he saw Cena in the hallway, joking that Cena looked tired and needed to “go to sleep”.
Punk said that it would be foolish to say that main eventing WrestleMania does not matter, but that it also would be foolish to hold him to the same ideas that he had some 10 to 12 years ago and that if the opportunity arises, then he wouldn’t walk away from it.
When asked about how he now sees this part of his career, Punk said that he does not want people to focus on his body falling apart, but wants people to understand that he’s 46 and he’s just starting to understand the business, but his body is falling apart.
Punk said that tearing his triceps was the worst thing that ever happened to him, but that he told himself that he was going to make the injury the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
