In an interview with Power Slam Magazine, the executive producer of Ring of Honor Wrestling on Sinclair Broadcasting noted that nobody is qualified to replace Vince McMahon in the WWE, despite HHH’s rise to power in the past year, noting that Vince is one of a kind and a guy who will never come along again.
Cornette noted that Triple H is a student of the business but Triple H has got his own little quirks and noted that with him being Vince’s son-in-law, he’s being groomed for the spot in the company because of the fact that he thinks a lot like Vince McMahon in terms of what a WWE superstar is supposed to look like, in that every good WWE star must be a jacked-up bodybuilder. Cornette also joked that Triple H would bring a more youthful approach to things, noting that Triple H is in his early 40’s and Vince McMahon is 66, before backtracking and noting that that wasn’t exactly youthful.
Cornette then commented further saying HHH isn’t qualified to replace Vince and Triple H might do an okay job, but in his personal opinion he thinks that when Vince McMahon passes away, WWE are going to be in trouble, but will exist and that the company is always going to exist because they make money and have a lot of money in the bank as they’ve grown into a global company over the years, however he feels that there isn’t going to be any ground broken or revolutionary things done by the company after Vince passes.
