All Elite Wrestling star Daniel Garcia, who was stretchered out of the arena following an attack on the July 3rd episode of AEW Dynamite, was written off of television in that manner due to his current contract status, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that when All Elite Wrestling done the angle with MJF, they were aware that there was a possibility that he may not be returning to the company, with the angle done in case he does not return, while if he signs a new deal, then he will be re-inserted into a storyline feud with MJF.
