New Japan Pro Wrestling crowned a new NEVER Openweight Champion during today’s New Japan Soul 2024 Day 1 event at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan as HENARE defeated Shingo Takagi to win the title.

HENARE’s victory brings an end to Shingo Takagi’s 71-day reign as the Champion.
