WWE SmackDown superstar, Randy Orton, was seemingly written out of upcoming SmackDown tapings at last night’s SmackDown/NXT tapings in Indianapolis, Indiana in a Falls Count Anywhere match against Wade Barrett. The match ended abruptly with Barrett running away, after he threw Orton down a flight of stairs.
Orton is currently injured and the way the storyline was done with him being thrown down the flight of stairs and unable to move is related to one of the discs in his back and from what we have heard it is bulging disc pain that is causing him problems, which could require him to miss a few months.
The expectation within WWE already is that they are hoping it isn’t as severe as expected and that Orton will be fit to compete at WrestleMania. Orton has also been removed from upcoming WWE live events in matches against Wade Barrett and replaced by Sheamus.
