It is with deep sadness to announce that former AWA and WWF star General Adnan (Adnan bin Abdul Kareem Ahmed Alkaissy El Farthie) passed away earlier today at the age of 84.
El Farthie, who was born in Baghdad, Iraq began his wrestling career in the state of Oklahoma in 1959 under the name of Billy White Wolf, a Native American character.
During his career, Adnan worked for promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance, Pacific Northwest Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Championship Wrestling From Florida, World Wide Wrestling Federation (and later the World Wrestling Federation), American Wrestling Association, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and more, retiring from the ring in 1998.
Adnan held several titles throughout his career including the WWWF World Tag Team Championships with Chief Jay Strongbow, the NWA Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Championship on two occasions and more, and was inducted into the 2020 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
