Speaking through his official website, former NWA Champion, UFC Hall of Famer and WWE superstar Dan “The Beast” Severn announced that with 2012 coming to a close, he has retired as a competitor in the mixed martial arts world, with an impressive record of 101 wins, 19 losses and 7 draws in his career.

Severn noted that he will be taking pro wrestling bookings through 2013 and will then retire completely as a performer.
