Former IWGP Women’s Champion, WWE NXT Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion KAIRI released video footage from her press conference where she addressed her future, amid reports of a potential return to the WWE.
KAIRI stated that she will be taking an indefinite leave of absence at the end of next month, thanking STARDOM and discussed her time as the IWGP Women’s Champion, revealing that it was a dream come true and put over her matches against Mayu Iwatani and Mercedes Martinez.
KAIRI noted that there were offers from organizations all over the world and at one point, she event got it in her head to retire from the business, but stated that it made her feel good to know that people still wanted to see her perform.
KAIRI, who is scheduled to appear for the Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling promotion on September 2nd and the All Japan Pro Wrestling promotion on September 8th, noted that she has made a decision that she can’t shed too much light on, but as she prepares for this new journey, she wanted to take the indefinite leave of absence.
KAIRI expressed her gratitude to STARDOM’s Rossy Ogawa, the promotion as a whole and her fans for sticking with her over the years.
