New Japan Pro Wrestling have announced that in recognition of their quick ascension in the ranks of their company and their clear desire to lead a new generation within NJPW, the trio of Shota Umino, Ren Narita and Yota Tsuji will together be officially named the Reiwa Three Musketeers.

For those wondering, the distinction goes back to 1988 when the trio of Masahiro Chono, Shinya Hashimoto and Keiji Muto were named the original Three Musketeers of the Fighting Spirit. In 2004, the trio of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shinsuke Nakamura and Katsuyori Shibata were given that honor, and named as the New Three Musketeers.
