In a press conference to promote the DDT Pro Wrestling “Who’s Gonna TOP” event on September 25th, Konosuke Takeshita noted that while he will be challenging Kazusada Higuchi for the KO-D Openweight Championship as part of the event, he will be returning to the United States next month.

Takeshita noted that he wants to bring the title to All Elite Wrestling and defend it as part of their weekly shows.

Take: I feel like this might be the last match before I go back there in Oct. Feels like the start of a new era in DDT. But I think Higuchi v Takeshita will bring about a new era in JP Wrestling. I'll bring this title back to AEW

Take: DDT's reach in US isn't that huge but if I have the belt there I can show them. And I'm sure challengers will come. I feel my role is to spread the reach of DDT and this is one way of it.
