Ring of Honor Wrestling sent out the following:
Cole vs. Hardy Signed For Final Battle!
Can the TV Champ Step Up To The Challenge?
In Chicago Ridge at “Death Before Dishonor X” Matt Hardy, who said he was coming with his eye on one particular competitor, joined Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly at ringside to commentate the Adam Cole/Mike Mondo TV Title match. Following Adam’s victory, Hardy entered the ring to congratulate both men on the match and then turned his attention specifically towards the TV Champion. Hardy essentially told Cole that he was good for his age, but at the same age Matt was better than Adam, and in fact, that he is still better than Adam would ever be.
Well as we learned on this week’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV, that did not sit well with Adam Cole leading the TV Champion to go to ROH officials and ask them to give him Hardy.
See, in his last act as the match-maker for Ring of Honor, Jim Cornette signed Hardy to appear at “Final Battle 2012” and now he will step into the ring with the very man he has been delivering backhanded compliments to in recent weeks, ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole!
“I gave him a piece of my mind on TV.” said Adam Cole to ROHWrestling.com, “On December 16th I will give Matt Hardy a piece of my fist, a piece of my foot, and I will certainly leave a piece of my soul in that ring. See I listened to Matt play with his words in Chicago as he found his way to several backhanded compliments directed my way and I listened to him levy those some type of disingenuous, disrespectful words on the rest of the locker room. I imagine these are the same words that were spoken to Matt when he was three or four years into his career. I imagine these same sort of ‘compliments’ were said to Matt Hardy every day when he was fighting to get to the top of the ladder. It is a sad thing now to see that Matt Hardy has become everything he once professed to hate. That the risk-taking, game changing, team extreme Matt Hardy has become just another bitter, sad, ‘everything was better in my day’, man is just disappointing. At Final Battle Matt Hardy, I will show you just how much has changed and, despite the respect I have for the trail you blazed, I will have no problem kicking your teeth down your throat!”
It’s ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole vs. Matt Hardy in a Non-Title collision and it goes down at “Final Battle 2012” on Sunday afternoon December 16th! Tickets for this year-end extravaganza are available right here in the ROH Store or place your order for the iPPV broadcast soon right here!
