CNWA Wrestling sent out the following:
Pro linebacker ready to tackle competition between the ropes
Nick Hannah, former professional linebacker with stints for the B.C. Lions and Toronto Argonauts as well as the Indianapolis Colts spent six years on the gridiron and now is preparing to go to battle in a whole new arena. Hannah debuts this Saturday night for CNWA Wrestling in Edmonton with his debut match at Alberta Avenue Hall.
The 31 year old, who spent six years in professional football was looking to make a career change when a chance encounter with WWE Hall of Famer “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase pointed him in the direction of Red Deer’s Vance Nevada to learn the ropes. Hannah headed north and for the past six weeks has been training in Edmonton under the seasoned hand of Sean “Massive Damage” Dunster. Though still a novice, Hannah has his eyes on the WWE and is hopeful that his Canadian experience between the ropes will help to vault him to new heights.
Hannah stands 5’11” and weighs 218 pounds. He attended College at Eastern Oregon before being signed by the Colts in 2005. He spent a year playing football in Europe before returning to North America, signed by the B.C. Lions in 2007. After a year with the Arizona Adrenaline, he spent time on the practice squad for the Argos, wrapping up his football career with the California Redwoods. Aside from wrestling, Nick operates a successful personal training business from his home in Phoenix.
