WWE revealed in their second quarter 2019 earning results that as part of the rollout of the new WWE Network infrastructure, that the company will soon roll out the long-planned tiered version of the service, with the plan to debut the first tier, a free version featuring programming that is free for all to stream in the coming months.
The WWE will then debut a “VIP” tier that will feature additional programming similar to the EVOLVE 10th Anniversary celebration that the WWE Network streamed earlier this month, effectively confirming that this VIP tier will air independent wrestling events, however no pricing was given for this VIP tier.
WWE has long toyed with adding independent wrestling events to the WWE Network and holds working relationships with several companies including EVOLVE Wrestling in the United States, PROGRESS Wrestling in England, Insane Championship Wrestling in Scotland and Westside Xtreme Wrestling in Germany.
