WWE have signed top independent wrestling star WALTER (full name Walter Hahn) to a deal with the company, per a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.

The report notes that 31-year-old WALTER signing with WWE was what led to him dropping the PWG Championship last month to Jeff Cobb and that while Pro Wrestling Guerilla attempted to bring him back for a farewell appearance next month, his WWE deal prevented that from happening.

The report further notes that WALTER is finishing up his independent dates and once completed, will be part of WWE’s NXT UK brand, with no current details on whether he will eventually transition to joining the full-fledged NXT brand.
