In speaking to several sources, Wrestling-News.Net can confirm that the WWE have reached out to Diamond Dallas Page, Sid Vicious and Charles Wright (Kama Mustafa, Papa Shango and The Godfather) about making an appearance on the 1,000th episode of WWE RAW on July 23rd.

Page hasn’t actively wrestled since an appearance for Juggalo Championship Wrestling 2009 and in late 2010, agreed to a contract with the WWE where he presented 2011-released The Very Best of WCW Monday Nitro DVD, made an appearance on RAW to promote the DVD and appeared on The Legends of Wrestling Roundtable earlier this year, as well as the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony alongside Kevin Nash and X-Pac. It is expected that he will be allowed to promote his DDP Yoga on the show (in a similar way to Stratusphere Yoga), which a lot of the superstars in the company use to keep fit.

As for Vicious and Wright, Vicious had tweeted recently about an upcoming “big” appearance, which we have confirmed will be an appearance at RAW 1000. Vicious has worked sporadic appearances over the years, however thus far this year, he has gained a reputation for no-showing events as he missed one event, claiming that he was setting up bleachers in an arena and injured himself, causing him to miss the show. In regards to Wright, the company are looking at having him come in under The Godfather gimmick. Wright, much like Sid Vicious has made sporadic appearances on the independent scene, with his last on-screen WWE appearance coming at the 15th Anniversary show back in 2007. Since leaving the wrestling business he moved to Las Vegas, where he currently owns the strip club Cheetah’s.

As we noted on the website earlier today, the company will be utilizing more talents from the past in the weeks leading up to RAW 1000 and have thus far reached out to almost 60 people from the past about coming in prior to the show and on the night of the show. As always, we will keep you updated with the latest on all fronts.
