– Speaking to the local CW affiliate in Dallas, Texas TNA Wrestling General Manager Hulk Hogan noted that he is done wrestling inside the ring and joked that he was suckered into wrestling again during his time in TNA Wrestling, but has chosen not to wrestle again due to his physical condition and says that he wishes that he made a decision to change his finishing move from the leg drop to something else like a sleeperhold, so that he did not ruin his back dropping the leg every night. -The June 7th edition of TNA Impact Wrestling on Spike TV did a 0.98 rating, up from last week’s 0.89 rating. The rating will be rounded up to a 1.0 rating overall with an overall viewership audience of 1,250,000 viewers.

– In a conference call on Wednesday to promote this Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view event, Sting said that he was very close to signing with the WWE before WrestleMania 27 last year and was looking forward to potentially wrestling The Undertaker, but was surprised that the deal didn’t come together and said that outside some of the young guys in TNA Wrestling, The Undertaker was one of the people he wanted to face before deciding to fully retire from the business. Sting noted that he is talking with a publisher about writing an autobiography and once he retires, he’s interested in sticking about and working for TNA Wrestling behind the scenes, possibly in a creative role as he helps mold Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, James Storm, Magnus and others into the top stars of the company’s future. In regards to his retirement, Sting says that towards the end of every year, he expects that it will be his last, but finds it hard to walk away from the business when TNA Wrestling is not quite there in terms of being a company who can compete with WWE and that his interest and motivation in the business have gone up in the last year as he looks to make TNA Wrestling better for the long-term future and noted that at TNA Slammiversary this Sunday when he faces off against Bobby Roode for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, that he doesn’t want to be the first person inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, feeling that AJ Styles or Jeff Jarrett are more deserving.

– Speaking of TNA Slammiversary, the company are heavily promoting WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian’s appearance at the pay-per-view this Sunday. Christian was at one stage last night, featured on the front pages of the WWE’s website as well as that of TNA.

– Chris Masters, who worked a dark match against Robbie E prior to Thursday’s live edition of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV noted that he would love to accept Crimson’s Open Challenge for TNA Slammiversary.

– 2 time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be teaming up with a North Carolina restaurant to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a Flair-inspired dish titled “Woooo-shi Buffalooooo-shi Roll” at the Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar in Charlotte, North Carolina. Starting from June 10th, there will be 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the new dish donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation Central and Western North Carolina.
