In an update on the current XFL trademarks, all six of the XFL trademarks that Vince McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment, a separate self-funded entity to WWE, applied to register with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) several months ago have been given an initial refusal.

This is no doubt due to confusion from similar XFL trademarks being held by World Wrestling Entertainment, meaning that when Alpha Entertainment re-apply, all trademarks need to be in their hands and out of the WWE’s.
