WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny) was extradited earlier this morning from the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in New Jersey by authorities from the State of Pennsylvania.
Sytch, who was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) twice this year in New Jersey while on probation for several charges in Pennsylvania, including three separate DUI arrests in 2015, failed to appear in court to answer any of the cases, which led to her arrest on February 27th in Aberdeen Township, New Jersey.
While 45-year-old Sytch was being processed for multiple charges of contempt – disobedience/resistance following her arrest, it was learned that she was technically a fugitive of justice because a motion had been filed in August 2017 in Pennsylvania requesting that her February 2017 parole from the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania be revoked, with a bench warrant issued for her arrest in order to bring her in for a hearing over the issue and that with Sytch not living in Pennsylvania at the time, she could not be located to be served with the bench warrant or taken into custody.
The three DUI charges against Sytch in 2015 stem from three seperate incidents between May and June of that year. On May 30th, 2015, Sytch was stopped in Mahoning Township, Pennsylvania by police after she was seen driving erratically into a Walmart parking lot, with a test showing she had a 0.25 percent Blood Alcohol level. On June 1st, Sytch was pulled over by the police after her car had crossed the solid center yellow line several times and then entered oncoming traffic on Interchange Road in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
At the time of her second DUI on June 1st, Sytch was unable to provide proof of her insurance or a driver’s license and was identified via authorities checking her records, with trooper Jonathan Lazarchick of the Pennsylvania State Police stating at the time that Sytch’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy and that she smelled like alcohol. At the time of her arrest, there was an open bottle of Coors Light in the passenger side of the vehicle and another eleven bottles unopened, with the open cap on the floor of her passenger’s side. Sytch claimed that she had indeed been drinking the night before and was simply driving to pick up some milk and eggs, but when asked to get out of the vehicle, she staggered, had problems with her balance and needed to lean on the car to maintain her balance and when she was tested, showed a blood alcohol content of 0.30 percent.
Sytch’s third DUI came on June 20th, 2015 when she crashed her car into a ditch in Towamensing Township at 10:40pm and claimed to the authorities at the time of them responding that her GPS had told her to make a sudden turn, which led to her turning too wide and ending up in the ditch. Sytch told the authorities that as a result, she was unable to back the car back out. Cpl. Shawn Noonan of the Pennsylvania State Police noted at the time of Sytch’s arrest that he observed the odour of alcohol and that Sytch’s eyes were bloodshot, requesting Sytch take a field sobriety test, however Sytch claimed that she was in too much pain due to her recently blacking out and falling down the steps. When Sytch was placed under arrest and later given a breathalyzer test at the police barracks, the results of that test showed she had a blood alcohol level of 0.078 percent. Sytch later noted that she was not arrested for a DUI when she crashed her car and actually had a seizure behind the wheel.
Sytch later plead guilty to DUI in all three of the cases, as well as one count of driving without a license, with the court dismissing the lesser charges in each case as part of her guilty plea.
